4 Ordnance Survey sheets, acrylic, yacht varnish – each 47.0 x 46.5 cm – 2010
Ordnance Survey maps of the region, with their fine black textures and networks of lines across the surface, were chosen as the image carrier. Following the contour lines, areas are defined, glazed in blue and coated with high gloss varnish. This contrasts with the remaining areas of white/matte paper.
Contrary to what might be assumed today in 2023, and in view of the increasingly dramatic climate crisis, the title chosen in 2010, "2022, 2023, 2122, 2123", refers only to the sheet names/numbers of the survey table sheets used.
