ALL OF OUR DAUGHTERS
The series of portraits ALL OF OUR DAUGHTERS focuses on young women, with the title encompassing society's wider responsibility to "our daughters" than just that of parents. The theme reflects the esteem in which young women are held by their parents' generation. The texts, mostly written by the young women's mothers, are given equal status to the portraits.
The series was conceived for the thematic exhibition SCHÖNE AUSSICHTEN of the Künstlerbund Steinburg 2015 with the following text: Young women have never had it easy. We cannot show them too much love, respect and appreciation. Watching our daughters grow up is the most beautiful sight we have.
